Mental health is an integral part of overall well-being, and it’s essential to prioritize its care as much as physical health. Various factors—such as trauma, chronic stress, and genetics—can cause mental health issues. It’s essential to recognize the signs of mental health conditions and seek help when necessary to prevent more serious problems from arising.
At GBBH, many mental health services are available for individuals, couples, families, and groups. These include the following:
We also offer psychiatric evaluation services, psychoeducational testing services, and more. GBBH can provide comprehensive care to clients in LGBTQ+ programs, intensive outpatient programs (IOPs), and PHPs for mental health.
Partial hospitalization allows a person to receive treatment while living at home or in other community-based settings. It offers more intensive treatment during the day than an IOP.
At GBBH partial hospitalization programs, clients receive several hours of care from qualified mental health professionals daily, including group therapy and individual counseling sessions. Clients may also participate in skills training, medication management, and relapse prevention classes. These activities help clients become independent and practice coping skills in everyday situations. The length of the program can vary depending on the client’s needs but generally ranges from three months to a year or longer if needed.
GBBH clients participating in our PHP receive individualized care plans that address their unique needs and goals. Treatment is tailored to each client’s background, preferences, and strengths.
PHPs allow clients to receive personalized care tailored to their specific needs while still being able to maintain their daily routines outside of the program, such as work or school activities. Clients can also expect support from a team that includes psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, who will work together towards helping them reach their goals. Other benefits of PHP for mental health treatment include the following.
A partial hospitalization program can provide intensive treatment for individuals struggling with severe mental health symptoms, such as suicidal ideation or paranoia. Participating in this program allows clients to receive the support they need without staying overnight at a psychiatric facility or residential center.
A structured environment helps provide structure and consistency throughout treatment. This structure allows clients to focus on recovery while providing the necessary tools to make positive life changes. The daily schedule helps keep clients on track while giving them some sense of normalcy during their time in treatment.
The experienced professionals at GBBH work as an interdisciplinary team to ensure that all aspects of our clients’ well-being are addressed during their PHP. Our team includes psychiatrists, therapists, nurses, social workers, dietitians, and case managers committed to providing high-quality patient care at every step.
